| “The use of CT scans is increasing in orthodontics for many reasons, one of which is the ability to visualize the true three-dimensional anatomy of the patient for enhanced diagnosis and treatment planning. Another reason is that an orthodontist can acquire multiple traditional radiographs from one scan, which could eventually make panoramic and cephalometric machines obsolete. InVivoDental and AnatoModel enhance this comprehensive nature of a CT scan by allowing an orthodontist to not only acquire all the radiographs they need, but also virtual study models that includes teeth, roots and alveolar bone; all from one CT scan”. ~ Anatomage |

EDI is pleased to offer this new digital service to our referring doctors. Using Anatomage conversion services, images acquired through a CBCT scan are uploaded through our EDI account. The DICOM files are then digitized to create 3D study models and stored in our online EDI account. You are then provided with a private username and password giving you access to your patient models, of which you can access at anytime from any computer with internet access. |
|
Do away with impressions by utilizing this cutting edge technology. These study models are much more advanced than normal models because they contain not only crowns, but roots, impactions, developing teeth, and alveolar bone. Orthodontic setups are also possible. |

In addition to the digital models, a frontal photograph can be mapped over the external soft tissue that is captured by the CBCT scan and merged, based on common reference points. The digital models and the photograph appear in their correct anatomical position in relation to each other. |

Treatment simulation showing orthodontic tooth movement with the modeled teeth is now possible! 3D Soft Tissue Prediction Based on proposed hard-tissue treatment, full 3D facial aesthetic simulations of orthodontic and surgical soft-tissue simulations can be created, thereby increasing case acceptance rates |

Orthodontic Models to demonstrate:
For those practitioners who require pre-treatment and post-treatment orthodontic diagnostic models of their patients, we can provide articular mounted (SAM) or traditional (orthodontic trimmed) models. All of our models are detailed, soaped, polished and labeled. |

EDI offers both lateral and frontal (postero-anterior) cephalometric x-rays for basic diagnostic and record purposes. Our cephs are taken at an industry standard of 60 inches to the mid sagittal plane which ensures consistency and accuracy with growth and surgical predictions. The digital images are burned to CD in a jpeg format. In addition, you will receive the printed image of the cephs. Carpal Index - In addition to receiving the printed image of the wrist it is also burned to CD in a jpeg format. In addition to the image of the wrist a radiographic interpretation may be requested Learn more about our Radiographic Services here |

In order to provide a wide variety of Cephalometric Analyses to assist in the diagnostic and orthodontic treatment planning process for your patients, we utilize the Dolphin cephalometric tracing and analysis software. Using the lateral cephalometric radiographs known reference points are digitized allowing the construction of the different analyses. Over 100 different analyses are available when sending your patients or your cephs to EDI. (In order to ensure your satisfaction, please advise EDI what analyses you prefer on your patients)
